Swans are often considered haughty - I thought it would be amusing to ‘look down’ on the prideful avian. However I couldn’t help but be entranced by the elegance, grace and serenity of the form. So whilst I was above this beauty in space, its higher qualities placed them above me. We so often feel looked down upon by others - this piece reminds me that our finest qualities can never be diminished by the perspectives of others.
